Post Office Charging for Openreach Faults

[link to this post]

I had a battery fault on my line verified by Post Office instigated line test. Openreach attend and say they have swapped pair between DP and cabinet and that all is now fine. Next bill from Post Office has a £120 charge on it and when I query it, Post Office say "The report says No Fault Found". I say "Look at your own fault record. What does it say?" Post Office decline to reply. Is this a widespread scam?

It does happen, and the charge should only be raised if the fault was something that you are responsible for, e.g. dog chewed through phone line or poor extension wiring in the home.

Its challenge the charge, and potentially take to ADR if Post Office refuse to budge and you are sure you are not responsible for the fault
