Full LLU (MPF) orShared LLU (SMPF) - how can I find out?

Sky is my provider of both broadband (since July 2007, currently on Unlimited) and voice (since March 2009) services.

I'm now thinking about moving broadband and voice services to another provider because I want a fibre broadband service (let's ignore Sky's forthcoming offering for now!)

When SVBN (Sky Voice & Broadband Network) was launched, I elected to opt-out of moving onto it because opinion at the time was that being on SVBN might make migration away more difficult at a future date.

Is my line likely to be Full LLU (MPF) or Shared LLU (SMPF) and how can I find out?

Also, will a MAC be required to move to another provider?

If you dial 17070 do you get the BT line test facility ? If so it's shared.

another clue would be if your number works on the FTTC availability chekcers - MPF numbers tend not to be on the database.

You can ask for a MAC for simplicity, if nothing else. It's probably necessary to get the Sky kit terminated off your line.

Just tried my number on BT Wholesale and another provider's FTTC check and it works.
