Complaining about cable is amusing. It only has to go 40cm down so the trenches are pretty narrow, and even more so with FTTP. Compare that to what has to be done for electricity or water and there's no comparison.

These people would be up in arms I guess if there were a power outage or water pipe burst, that would require far more excavation.

The bloke in that story is a grade A helmet.

In one sentence says there was no warning, yet in the next says he got a letter from VM.

Worse that Syria? Show's how much of a clown this bloke really is if he can compare a few weeks of works to the terror and suffering so many innocent have had to endure in Syria.

Just another retired sad act with nothing better to do.

Just like most stories in my local paper you must put on your best sad face ! The guy is a class A tool.
