I've heard personally from a number of people who have had this call. Including my dad who doesn't have a computer or broadband ...

I get a call from them at least once a week.

I've tried shouting at them, hanging up, telling them politely to take me off their list and nothing works so I let them go through their script while pretending to do what they say.

Usually takes them about 20 mins to hang up on me.

Try answering the phone with "Hello. You are through to the Criminal Fraud Investigations Department of Symantec Incorporated. Please hold the line while we trace your details."
