Lifetime licence now available for Outpost Security Suite v8

[link to this post]

Lifetime licence now available for $59.95:
(offer expires 31/12/12)

http://www.agnitum.com/purchase/security-suite/

For those who haven't heard of Outpost, their firewall has a legendary status and easily amongst the best. Their Security Suite is just as good (have a look at latest Matousec results) and its well worth splashing out £40-£50 for a lifetime licence. Obviously trial out the software before handing your cash over smile

(PS I work for Agnitum...just kidding grin)

Have you used the software yourself? If so what do you think of it?

Had a quick look and the lifetime offer includes product upgrades which I assume includes new versions which makes the deal even better. Also for 3 installs.

Expected it to just be lifetime virus definition updates...

Will try the free version tonight.

Thanks.

Yes i've just ditched Norton Internet Security (good AV component but poor firewall) and bought a permanent licence for Outpost Security Suite. OSS appears to be very light (as good as NIS) and for the first week or so you leave your firewall in "auto-learn" mode to minimize pop-ups, by which time the software has created most rules. The firewall is highly configurable yet at the same time the 'default' settings work well. It easily detected a few viruses on my test machine so the AV component appears to be working well.

No need to install the free version (think it has ads), just install the standard 32 or 64 bit version as it comes with a 30 day trial period.

Even the likes of Avast have begun to use Outpost techonology:

"Agnitumís personal firewall technology has long been the standard by which others are judged, and we are pleased to be able to enhance our usersí Internet security protection with this proven solution", comments Ondrej Vlcek, CTO at Avast.

Liked the look of it so have just bought the security suite.
Worth choosing to pay in dollars as works out at only £39. I may buy another at that price.

I was concerned that the lifetime licence may have been tied to a machine but reading around it seems that you can transfer it from one machine to another.

Also looks like they have extended the offer until the end of January.
