Free program for moving from Windows XP.

I am not skilled enough to judge how useful " CA Desktop Migration Manager" is, but forum members my find it of interest :-

I stopped using XP at the start of the year but do have stuff on the old XP machine that I may want some time so I may get around to trying this program.

Note: the program cannot be used to go directly from XP to Windows 8.1.

Looks interesting. I've used Windows Easy Transfer many times when I've moved helped people to move PCs, it's always done what's been needed.

In OE There is an Export to MS OL or Exchange. My one is refusing to work, failing MAPI for some reason, but I take a backup of its Store Folder for future moves.

I have found this website with instruction on Migrate from Outlook Express or Windows (Live) Mail to Outlook http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/migratefromoewlm.htm although I have not migrated from OE to Outlook just yet, but it may help others who wish to do so.

Yes, that's what I mean by taking a backup of the OE Store Folder.
