Iphone 3.0 software update

apparently Apple is holding a preview of the Iphone 3.0 software on the 17th of March

MMS is rumoured..... should be a big update jumping from 2.2 to 3.0, fingers crossed they will fill in the (little) gaps in the best phone out there....

If they get MMS, copy n paste, sending mail attachments and vcard functionality in there it'll be the most perfect business phone ever.

Not holding my breath though, with Apples past record it'll probably just be GPS and Google map enhancements and allowing more apps with bouncing boobies...

I'd like to see wireless syncing, but that may be something to be included in an iTunes update...

Copy and paste, and the ability to switch off cover flow... I just want to use my iphone on its side without it going all cover flow on me dammit!

Oh, and I'd like to be able to forward SMS messages, and use customizable SMS alerts..

People will still moan about the battery life or other things.

The problem with the iPhone is that people who have never bought a smartphone have bought an iPhone. They're just not used to battery life vs capabilities tradeoff.

If they had owned any other smartphones they wouldn't be whining about cut n paste.

I'm moaning about cut and paste which my Treos do perfectly well. I have owned smartphones therefore your statement is a bit sweeping imho.

For iphone you would need iFingers with pointy ends to fully implement it though.

Palm and Microsoft had decades to implement all these features before they slapped a phone on the side of them.

Apple spent a heck of a lot of time making the iPhone OS SDK then had to make version 2 which was the public version.

Considering iPhone 1 was 2007 I think a lot has been done.
