Its not a good plan to move ISP in the hope it will fix a line fault , but it will prove to you that it is BT/Zen or indeed a fault on your line between the exchange and your computer ( Which includes your home wiring ) .

Anyway UKonline is no drama internet provider , it just works at your connected sync all day and all night , ping's are stable and there transit links and peering agreements are superb .
Only negative for new sign ups is UKonline ridiculous mandatory purchase of a router , the 12 month contract passes quickly when you are happy .
I cant guarantee that it will always be like this , but it will for the foreseeable future as Easynet have insane amounts of over capacity and also own there own back hauls from the exchanges to there POP and as UKonline is Easynets retail division . support is pretty good , but i hear Zen support is superb .

So to recap , the 12 month contract is not a big deal when connecting with UKonline LLU as they deliver the goods .

Yep I know but I was getting bored with Zen anyway so if it still drops after I know it will more than likely be a fault at my end.

Normally this shouldn't be necessary but I suggest you put a filter at the phone end of the extension and plug the phone into that. If it already has one, then double-filter it.

The XTE-2005 should be filtering that extension but things can go wrong. Also are the wires to the extension connected to T2 and T5, or TA and TB?

The wires are connected to �Phone� with on 2 & 5 wired, I have now disconnected the ring wire and added a filter to the extension. Will see how it goes.
