Their top LLU package seems to be, never seen a post that contradicts the claim.....as yet.

Sounds to me as if you want to test it.smile

Thinking about it, do you have a link too this top package, and how much does it cost if you already have sky tv and sky phone package?.

It's £10 if you have Sky Talk otherwise £15.

I have it. It's very good. They do say it is truly unlimited but I can't speak to what would happen if you nailed it 24/7.

Sky use a two-level support, with the lower-level being operated by "script kids". The upper-level support is better, but the big problem is getting through to them - you have to run the gauntlet of the lower-level support first. Sky used to accept emails direct to support, but they've done away with that - you now have to fill in a form on the Sky website, which is rather tedious, or phone them up, and it can get busy at times.

This change in support, along with the recent price hike of £5 because of the removal of the "loyalty discount" triggered my migration to Be, and I have to say that Be's service knocks spots off Sky's.

not too surprising, sky is aimed at the mass market whilst BE isnt.

I find it (relatively) easy to get past the 'script kids'. If you talk very quickly and throw in the odd very technical word, you 'lose' them and they are happy to pass you over to the 'upper-level'!

In my experience anyway.....

The hardest journey you will make is meeting people half way!

If you take the calls package at least calls are free. As always it is best to call out of peak hours as it is available 24/7

Considering it has such a large user base this forum does not seem to have that many users with issues...it is usually some kind of indication. To keep costs low Sky operate a true plug and play system, plug it in and away you go...it seems to work for most.

The one issue that does seem to keep crop up occasionally is Dynamic Line Management, DLM. It activates for about ten days from the first connection to find the optimum speed/stability for your line. It seems to get stuck on occasions and people have to ring up to get it manually configured.

How much are you expecting to d/load each month???

I have been known to hit around 300 - 400Gb a month using news groups with no problem.

With P2P I average anything from 50 - 150Gb a month ( up & down ) and again no probs.

As mentioned above, quite easy to get from 1st level support providing you chuck them some technical knowledge, and once on next tier they are very good fair play......

Highly recommended from me.....
