attenuation

[link to this post]

my line attenuation was always 48.0db downstream for years. i,ve been with sky 2 years and it was the same, but the last 2 months its gone up to 50.db.i thought attenuation didn,t fluctuate.i,ve also noticed that if my sync speed drops down a bit my attenuation drops to 49db.also if my phone is picked up my connection drops which definetly shouldn,t happen, any ideas?

Modem may be flipping between ADSL/ADSL2+ mode which can affect the attenuation.

On the phone, tried different filters/phone?
