Sky Evening Lag problem

[link to this post]

I live in an LLU Sky area and for the past 5 - 6 weeks have been suffering from horrendous pings in the evening times....mainly between 5pm and 11pm.
Being an avid gamer with these pings it's just not possible to play any games, so I have to wait until it settles down. I am on an unlimited package so my BB shouldn't be being throttled....unless anyone knows differently.

Here are 2 nights recently after I got the BroadBand Quality Monitor Working

and

I have logged a complaint about this problem with Sky since 13th Jan and they admit it's their end and they're trying to fix it but it just seems to be going on now for so long.

Does anyone know what this problem is?

Calmcookie, sorry I can't help but I am considering joining sky, and that is the very concern I have. Which exchange are you on?

Thanks

I am in a Hertfordshire exchange......I will say I have had prior to problem starting, 2 years of faultless internet connection. I would still recommend them even with my current problem.

The main Sky problem is getting past their firstline technical assistants (who probably solve a vast amount of problems from their scripted assistance)....once you get through to the Tier 2 assistants then they are really helpful and much more technically savvy.

I have been assured that Sky are trying to fix my problem and I expect they will....this assurance came from one of their agents on the Sky Forum Technical site.

I am in Stevenage and have a problem with download speeds come late afternoon/evening, though sync speeds remain constant. I am suspicious of all the OpenReach activity installing FTTC.

I've had the same problem since November last year (i'm in spennymoor).

However SKY are blaming it on my line and have done nothing to fix the problem, Ive given up talking to them.
