So Far So Good

[link to this post]

I joined SKY from BE on 7th Feb. I went the whole hog LLU, Sky Line and Sky Talk , etc.

Thankfully my experience has been great.

On BE my average stats were 6807 Kbps 1066 Kbps and now on Sky they are 7291 Kbp 915 Kbps.

This is despite all the official estimates saying a max of 5mb.

My testing is now over and has been set at 9mb down, 1mb up.

My stats are

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8840 kbps 1107 kbps
Line Attenuation 39.5db 20.2db
Noise Margin 7.6db 8.5db

Only slight issue is some billing errors for Sky Talk 1471 but will deal with this separately.

I am on BT hardware, I had heard mixed reports on that the one person who had done the same without a mac code ended up with no internet for weeks. Another colleague who did use a mac code had a seemless transfer

Mac is only used if the ADSL is being transferred.

You still have to tell your internet provider that your leaving so that they cancel the contract.

I didn't even inform BT, SKy did that and this week i got my final bill from BT.

Seamless and painless smile
