well as of today, my line stats have changed to this -
Connection Speed 16378 kbps 945 kbps
Line Attenuation 14.5 dB 8.6 dB
Noise Margin 7.4 dB 15.7 dB
which gives me 1.3 - 1.6 mbps download speed

i should still be on the 10 day line testing thing (no idea for how much longer).
Do you reckon thats my top speed or do you think they (sky) could get it increased a bit more still?

cheers

Your line appears to be underperforming for your downstream attenuation of 14.5 dB.

To rule in/out internal wiring it would be useful to get the stats when your router is connected to the test socket within the BT master socket.

thanks for the advice. well if that is case I'm still ok with it, as its still 13 times faster then my internet where I used to live smile.

However is it worth waiting till my line testing with sky is finished before I plug my router in to the test socket...I'm thinking it could improve over next few days without me doing anything couldn't it?

If you can resist the temptation to fiddle I think it best to wait for the 10 day period to be over. I doubt it would do any harm on Sky LLU. However mucking about during the 10 days did cause problems on BT standard ADSL.

eta: I'm not a Sky customer so you may be better advised by someone who understands Sky's systems.

Mine is similar
Connection Speed 19998 kbps 941 kbps
Line Attenuation 16.5db 2.9db
Noise Margin 6.9db 12.0db

but I'd wait till the 10 days are up, having said that mine still hasn't been set on the Sky page it's marked as still testing since January

Well hope mine gets closer at least to your speed if not the same or better smile

Just out of interest at least while my line is under going testing till its completed which I figure will be in the next 9 days give or take. Is there anyway to know when my line speed will increase if it is going to?

cheers

I think mine went up to that on day 2 but the noise margin and attentuation figures did fluctuate after that
