Is this fibre or adsl. I've only had to reboot once on Sky when the live fibre service went live. I was part of the trial. This put me into a completely new IP address set and also gave accurate location on speedtests. Other than this never rebooted.

normal adsl. don't know if it was a fluke or if rebooting as the early hours gave me a better synch or not.

Same thing yesterday at a friends.

Sync is 3700 ish but speedtests are sub 1Mb.

Reboot and things back to 3Mb ish.

Router uptime was in excess of 800 hrs.

Maybe the router firmware was screwy?

My only explanation of this is that your router was trying to do a firmware upgrade. All of the routers recently got an upgrade to their firmware. Perhaps it kept getting interupted for whatever reason.

The firmware on these things is very stable. I've got over 3000hours uptime on my Sky router now. This is with over 10 devices connecting.

My Sky router has been stable for the last 6 months or so but recently I have kept losing the connection and have had to keep rebooting the router.

In sheer frustration I have had to ring Sky earlier on tonight and they said it is now sorted.

My connection is more stable now but I have lost around 512 Kbps on both the upstream and downstream channels but I'm not that bothered as I would rather have a stable connection besides when my area has FTTC I will upgrade to that.

I used to get around 3450/796 and now get 3072/256

Get them to run DLM again that might sort things?

It's stable again although as I said in my last reply, I have lost some speed but I'm not worried as I'm going to be upgrading to FTTC in around 15 months time.
