Maybe but if it was I'd expect there to be a fairly solid block of congestion between 7-10pm and a slow gradual rise and decline.

Those spikes suggest heavy usage on your connection at certain times. Anyone in the house uploading large files?

Here's what I believe is exchange congestion on the Kenton exchange:

Typically every day from around 4pm to 12am it's awful.

If that is congestion then looks like around 9pm a lot of people stopped using their connection.

That's what congestion tends to look like on the ping monitor. When there was congestion in my area on Mon-Thu the congestion, at it's peak, usually ran from around 6pm to around 11pm, Friday was 5pm-1am, Sat was 3pm-2am and Sun was 4pm-1am.

The cut offs were quite well defined like the ping graph that was posted.

Looking at their BQM now - yes clearly looks like congestion, they posted a live share link rather than a snapshot, so graph is now different to the one I originally commented on.

Current graph is showing VERY high average latency to the extent packets are timing out and showing as packet loss

My Broadband Ping

I assume the red block is because my IP has changed... dunno... no complaints from the other half to say the internet is dead...

Was replying to http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/sky/t/4294471-re-co...

In your case the solid block is a change of IP or router has stopped responding
