Rubbish Customer Service!

[link to this post]

I want to migrate from Sky unlimited broadband. My telephone is with BT so I need a MAC apparently. Sunday evening requested a MAC via live chat. The operator wanted to know why I was leaving, I told them I didn't want to discuss why I was leaving and to please action my request for a MAC. The operator continued with the retention speel. When I told them I wasn't interested and to action my request for a MAC they terminated the call.

I emailed Sky complaints requesting a MAC I provided my full name and account number. They replied that the details supplied don't match their records, and want me to supply, My full name and account number frown

Still waiting for a reply. If this continues they can stuff the TV contract as well!

Did you use the link
https://contactus.sky.com/uk/sky-broadband/request-a...
To ask for you mac code. By using this you are already pre identified through the sky sign in process. smile

I had a similar experience.

On live chat it took me nearly 35 minutes and then the MAC had to be sent through the post. During that time they tried to insist that I explain why I was leaving.

I'm an ex O2 customer paying £13 per month for broadband only. I was offered broadband at £5 per month for a year and a new router. When that didn't work they tried broadband and line rental at £7.50 per month for 12 months. I might have taken them up on the offer if I hadn't been so annoyed at being told I had to explain why I was leaving before they could give me a MAC.
