The only protocol TalkTalk throttle is P2P...everything else runs at line speed 24/7. Even then, the P2P throttling is done on a dynamic basis; it depends on how congested your exchange is at any particular time. If you're not a P2P rapist then you'll be fine on TalkTalk smile

only been with them a week and very happy so far - they handled my switch from plusnet without and problems whatsoever.

Speeds fantastic and not noticed anything being throttled - even my p2p which I only do overnight was at line speed.

Very occasional P2P mainly american telly shows that I don't have to wait 12 months.

Other than that BBC IPlayer and the other catch up services, Youtube and occasional downloads from websites.

In the last 2 months I have only downloaded the latest season of NCIS so not a heavy DL. Other than that is browsing.

Iplayer and youtube and web downloads are not throttled

Only P2P i.e. torrents and then not always, i.e. depends on how much others are doing
