Question for other TalkTalk users

[link to this post]

Is http://www.timetalk.co.uk/ inaccessible for you as well?

I ask because I cannot access it and so I suspect that TalkTalk are blocking it, which is probably a good thing if so bearing in mind TimeTalk's reputation, which among people who have experienced them is worse than TalkTalk's rep.

Nope, doesn't work for me either. All webpage URLs for that site result in "Connection reset by peer" (whilst reading headers). However, something like http://www.timetalk.co.uk/live/img/top-right-logo.gif does load. I tried also using wget both via TT and my hosting shell account, and it worked only via my hosting account. Hard to say if TT are blocking it or whether it could be the other way around.

Hmm...

I'm not on talktalk and get to the site just fine but I doubt they are blocking it - more likely that their DNS is missing it for some reason or it could be a routing problem.

Doesn't explain why www.timetalk.co.uk/live/img/top-right-logo.gif works and www.timetalk.co.uk doesn't work though. That rules out a DNS issue (I'm using Google DNS anyway), and although it could be routing related, its strange that static links work (images, JS files, etc), but server-side script based pages do not. My hunch would be that the website is blocking some TalkTalk IP addresses. Looking at the traceroute output, www.timetalk.co.uk is housed on work.supanet.net.uk, and indeed looks like a rehash of the Supanet site.

You're right on that. Very strange. Any idea why they may be blocking it?
