Is a tbbmeter log file being created?
If you run the tbbmeter.exe directly what actually happens?

If the SP1 has rearranged the icons in the system tray it is possible it is hiding the tbbmeter one by default, and you need to change the options for it.

Will try the SP out over the weekend

Thanks can you look and see if it is adding anything into tbbmeter.exe

Looks like something Microsoft has changed is causing an unhandled exception.

I do have Win7 - just not put the SP1 onto it yet, a job for Saturday

Ah my mistake - not enough coffee when I wrote it

Meant to ask can you see if there are any entries in tbbmeter.log after you have upgraded to the SP1

Mr S,
Not look like these are the last 2 entries on the log:-
29/10/2010 08:49:29, 00, Oldest entry stored is: 27/10/2010 08:05
29/10/2010 08:49:29, 00, Newest entry stored is: 29/10/2010 09:50
I've no idea what they mean but it was around this time I installed SP1 and then nothing after'
I just uninstalled it,reboot and reinstalled it but alas still the same

Checking for solutions is something beyond our control and is Microsoft attempting to be useful
