If you go to the tbbmeter user options page what are the status of the two Kaspersky checkboxes

Also if you open options.xml what is the element

<OVERRIDEKASPERSKY>

defined as?

Finally are you actually running Kaspersky?

Thanks for the Fast reply

Yes I am running Kaspersky and have never had any problems either wired or wireless.

I have now ticked Don't check for Kaspersky Anti Virus

Kaspersky AV Detected obviously is Greyed out

OH Rhubarb!!
I have just rebooted and the Kapsersky question has returned and the Tick box is again Unticked.
I think I will live with this until I finish building my new PC ( Much Higher Spec) so that will have a Clean OS I will then be able to Reformat this machine and reload at my leasure as it will be my Back up.

Have made a change in version 0.9.8.2 that may help out.

That version is under internal testing.

Can you explain or elaborate on the mechanics and point of the 'Kaspersky question' please?

Kaspersky and Avira do some sort of buffering which completely screws up Ookla based speed testers, and Kaspersky, perhaps Avira too, makes tbbMeter count double data amounts.

They do funky stuff to the data that when lan/wan mode is enabled, we see 2 bytes for every real one

Too complicated to find all the original reports, but Andrew announces a fix in this post.

This Kaspersky link may be relevant.

Ahh. Not on the Beta list, so no worries.
