Advanced registration of tbbMeter tool fails

[link to this post]

Hi - I've been using the tbbMeter tool for some time now and find it very useful. However, since day one I've never managed to validate my advanced registration to view my data online. I tried entering the user name and password for the ttb main site many times but it always complains that it can't validate my credentials. I've just tried it again and now it says I had too many attempts and I have to wait 20 min before I can try again.

My access to the main site is working fine, I can log in no problem. But I just can't validate my account details on the registration window of the tbbMeter tool.

Could it be that the tool cannot pass on non-alphanumeric chars which are in my password? I noticed the forum doesn't like them in the password although the main site happily accepts them.

Cheers
Michael

I'd have to look at the server logs to see if anything odd is being reported, alas not on a connection where I can do that at present and wont be for a few days

IIRC there is a non-obvious button you have to click after submitting the user name and password and it has accepted them. Possibly the same button but with a different Text on it, or a Save or similar?

Just vague memories I'm afraid.

As in the Validate button that is next to where you type your username,

What version of tbbmeter are you running?

Need to know so I can cross check what I see in the log files for your particular user name, last time this error showed up was for a user in June, i.e. it is rare

I don't have my Windows laptop running right now but it's the latest version of tbbMeter. I did perform a version check today and it confirmed I had the latest.
