Restoring Minimised Window

[link to this post]

I selected the minimise option at the bottom right of the window and cannot get the window to display again, not even by selecting the application within the Programs list, I can see it running as a process but not a task, how do I get to see the window again?
Thanks

What programs list? Inside task manager?

The application minimises to a system tray icon, and it seems people are being caught out by Windows 7 automatically hiding lots of these. If you want the tb icon to be visible you will need to customise the system tray area.

Does the icon show in the popup box when you click the small up-arrow at the left of the System Tray?
