I'm not clear what program you are referring to? I've just recommended continuous ping.

I read "router stats" in your post to be referring to RouterStats or RouterStats Lite. Essential stats monitoring tools.

The indispensable man or woman passes from the scene, and what happens next is more or less the same thing as was happening before.

No, never had a use for them. Just plain old stats from a router.

Just reinstalled tbbMeter, having forgotten I tried it before, as I got fed up with NetMeter crashing all over the place & having to stop it manually.

I am happy to report that tbbMeter now works with the Win 8 fix of Disable TCP/UDP Monitoring smile

Also for information: I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit (build 14393) and came back to try tbbmeter again for the first time since I was using Windows 8.1. Using the recommended setting for 8.1 (disable TCP/UDP monitoring), the meter works perfectly well for the machine on which it is installed. The meter and the collected data survive if I restart Windows but all are lost if (as I occasionally do) I leave Windows completely to play with Linux Mint. I then have to reinstall the meter and start collecting data from scratch.
