Sky Fibre Upload speed problems

[link to this post]

Since switching to Sky fibre the I've never reached anywhere near the max dl speeds but had just about acceptable UL speeds that meant remote connectivity and online games requiring synching data with game servers were perfectly playable. However over the last month or so, UL speeds have dropped to nigh on immeasurable amounts and the last speed test that managed to complete averaged 0.61mbps. Frequently it is well below that and that halts all uploading/synching/online games stone dead.

The first time I highlighted this to Sky Fibre team I went through all the usual diy testing for them to no avail and their line tests reported no fault. I left it at that and coincidentally the service recovered slightly for a week or so but now it has virtually ground to a halt. In the meantime I have pretty much exhausted all potential connectivity/equipment related issues and even connected a MacBook via lan cable to negate any Windows based issues. All have the same upload issue.

Rang Sky again today and now there appears to be a fault on the line apparently preventing the test completing. The Help desk were helpful and ran the test twice with the same result. BT have been passed a job!

I'm actually wondering whether anyone might have an insight into what is going on based on the following stats: (router has been completely reset)

Any advice appreciated...

Do speeds get better after midnight, i.e. once most people are asleep and only get worse as kids get home from school each day?

The test was hanging but amazingly the non -existent fault seems to have been rectified after the phone call

Current speed result

Guess I'll wait and see how long it stays like that wink
