Sync speed

Hi,

I'm just wondering if the SNR Margin on the stats below was 3db would sync speed increase at all? the connection is with zen


Mode ADSL2+(G.992.5)
State SHOWTIME
Up Speed 1107421
Down Speed 14836714
SNR Margin 6
Loop Att. 32
Standard User MHC

Probably. However, you would then increase the number of errors received which would result in additional traffic caused by packets being resent. So, the headline speed might increase but the actual usable data rate might fall.

ok, I just thought the sync speed should be higher as the line is only 1500m

I doubt that the line is 1300m, either that or there's something wrong somewhere.

My line is 1.6k and my attenuation on ADSL2+ was 28db

and got these stats:

Your speed is good for your Attenuation, which is a better determinant than recorded line length.
