Tiscali e.mail account

I left Tiscali over four years ago but i have been using my old e.mail address that i had with them ever since with no problems but today they have cancelled it i was just wondering if the new owners are cracking down a bit.
I have a couple of other e.mail address to use but one or two people still know me by my old address.

Officially at least, there are no new owners yet. Which domain was it?

It was a tiscali.co.uk,I use to have an old e.mail address with them worldonline.co.uk and after i had left them for two years i went on there site to deleat it i tried every thing but it would not let me deleat it i got on the phone to them and they said it was because my credit card i used to pay them with was out of date i made the card up to date after that it came straight off.

Did they contact you to tell you that the email address was cancelled?

I've had problems with a legacy email addy that I still get some incoming mail on - just for the past few days - outlook intermittently fails to make contact with Tiscali's server, BUT email is still getting through. Very odd.

Switched to O2 Standard LLU (from BT) on 3/3/09, Ilford North exchange.

Tiscali just closed the e.mail address down out of the blues, It did not worry me i was getting up to thirty spams a day on it. These days you can get e.mail addresses from any were, what i do not like is they have still got all my personal details on there site that i would like to get off.
