I recently moved my Mom from Talk Talk phone and broadband because the broadband was hardly ever working. They now want to charge her around £80 cancellation fee for the phone line. This is even though I paid her line rental up front for a year a couple of months ago (£114). She has been with TT for years, so she should be out of contract. Customer service inform me that when I paid the £114, I signed her up to another years' contract. Even if this is so, I have paid up front so what is the fee for? Seems unfair to me. Does anyone have similar experience or advice?
