Plusnet not as good as they were

[link to this post]

Whether it's rapid expansion or the take-over by BT but Plusnet's customer service has gone downhill big time.

I've been a subscriber for over 12 years but recently moved home and upgraded to fibre plus phone.

Whilst the phone move was fine, the broadband move wa sa complete mare over the 6 weeks from request to final activation. All the time I had to wait to get through or chat advisers promised to things and then didn't. I'm now getting only 10-40Mb on a fibr extra deal that should see me getting 40-75Mb.

I'm still wading through treacle to get tech support to find out what's wrong and it seems that every step takes 72 hours.

I won't be recommending Plusnet to any of my friends and family again in a hurry.

What speeds does the BT Wholesale Checker suggest you should expect (both FTTC Range A (Clean) and FTTC Range B (Impacted))? What speeds did Plusnet tell you to expect?

More importantly, what is the IP Profile. That way we know the sync. I suspect these are wireless speeds, not Ethernet.

Second cup of tea in bed. Bread finished baking in another twenty minutes.

There is a back story, but slightly yucky.

Re IP Profile, link for the OP. Please can you post it, plus the Go to Further Diagnostics. Typing the link is giving this iPad the vapours. Spell checker says I'm an idiot.

Excellent. And no red instructions. I shall try to remember it smile.

Now we need the OP to run it and copy/paste the two text boxes of results.

Thanks for the help and interest guys.

Maybe Plusnet have been following my various postings because I'm now regularly getting 40Mb via WiFi and nearly 70 (max 73 according to BT) on an Ethernet cable.

Shame it's taken a month to get to this stage....

Thanks again.

The down and up text box contents from that diagnostic test in jelv's link copy and pasted give us, therefore you, useful information.

I think you have to leave at least 10 minutes between runs, but there will probably be a big difference between Ethernet and wireless.
