Does the modem show an ADSL connection?
If yes to above, then it is settings like Encapsulation, VPI/VCI, username and password you need to change, what they should be, depends on
1) Whether on a BT Wholesale based service
2) The C&W LLU based service
3. Only you will know your username/password
Your old modem should give you the details you need.
