L 10 Meg is overpriced

[link to this post]

I personal believe standalone large size 10 meg broadband is still overpriced by virgin media. Should be around £16.25 by now not £20.25.

Why is virgin being so silly to charge customers like this way:

10 Meg £20.25
20 Meg £30.00
50 Meg £35.00
100 Meg £45.00

Should be like this:

10 Meg £16.25
20 Meg £25.00
50 Meg £30.00
100 Meg £40.00

I disagree.

It should be ..

10Mbps £300
20Mbps £10.52
50Mpbs $22.46
100Mmps £1 5s 6d

or any other arbitrary guff.

It costs what it costs. If you disagree with the price asked then don't buy it.

If you can't fix it with a hammer you've got an electrical problem.

Prices ADSLMax has quoted are without a phone line.

If you make calls from home, makes more sense to take the VM line
L is then £6.25 a month for 6 months then £12.75 a month plus the £12.24 for the phone line

How many up to 8Meg ADSL products are unlimited at cost £12.75 a month? (With ADSL you MUST take the phone line)

I moved to Virgin as my rural exchange only gave me 1.5mb occaisionally rising to 2mb...
for an extra £3 a month over previous BT Line Rental and Plusnet BB, I got free evening and weekend (non mobile calls) TV inc HD freeview (would have needed to fork out for a new arial and even then no guarantee due to area) and 10mb broadband... So a no brainer if virgin is available and your circumstances are similar.

Perhaps adsmax should start his own comparison site, might I suggest comparethebroadbands.com as a site name given his experience and posting style..

He seems to have used pretty much everyone and stayed but a short time ......

Now a Virgin 10mb customer... based on price of package plus speed giving my rural exchange.

Previously Plusnet for 6 years and only left for the higher speed cable offered..
