Virgin Media Upload Speed

[link to this post]

Speedtest shows these results
Download: 9862kbps
Upload: 481 kbps
I'm on the M package, the link below shows that i should be getting up to 1Mb upload
http://shop.virginmedia.com/help/discover-broadband/...

This link shows that it's available now (My area is Wolverhampton)
http://shop.virginmedia.com/content/dam/allyours/pdf...

I've done the speedtest right in the morning and late evening and i still get the same results. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem or a solution. Thanks in advance

As you are on a legacy product I'm guessing you have an old modem too - maybe it doesn't support the increased upload. What does your modem config specify?

Probably your modem http gui will be on http://192.168.100.1/ and you should be able to find the upstream data.

"The new speeds will be rolled out across the network starting in September and continuing through 2011."

You're getting what I'm getting!

You need a new modem - give them a call.
