Anyone else having issues in Torbay?

[link to this post]

Hey folks,

I just wondered if anyone in the Torbay area (or maybe Plymouth, Newton Abbot or Exeter) was having problems with the broadband service this evening?

My broadband was running fine up until about half an hour ago. I restarted the Super Hub and now it's coming up with Access Denied on the connectivity state of the Super Hub connection status. I've also found that the Tivo is reporting issues with network availability and I can't seem to call Virgin on any of the numbers I can find for them (150, 151, 0845 numbers) although calling my mobile is working.

At the moment I'm tethered on my phone and I also can't access the Virgin web site. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing any issues?

Rob

Yeah only half the websites are working here. TBB is one of them! Virgin say there is a nationwide fault.

The last time I had problems like this with Virgin Media I set up Tor on a linux box. So tonight my 50Mb connection in Stockport feels like 2Mb but at least I'm getting to everywhere I need to get to.

Telford has problems - I've mostly been suffering a complete blackout of secure (https) sites for a couple of hours. Annoying, as I need to pay a bill on my bank ...

From BE User Group

Virgin Media seem to be having near-national problems and, in some cases, total outage. Affecting both Leased Line, ADSL and Cable (both ex-NTL and ex-Telewest areas) customers.
