Over agresive spam filter

[link to this post]

My son is on Virgin cable, email is an ntlworld.com address. For some time various emails have not got to him. Last night he found that there were over 700 emails in his Spam folder on Virgin webmail.

It would seem that the spam filter is being over aggressive.

How can he turn that filter off?

its Google mail that handle the spam not Virgin any more, normally its very good at killing spam but still getting real mails as well

its not recommended to turn it off just start marking the good emails as not spam on the virgin-media web mail it only take 1-2 marks as good and it no longer spam mail from your email any more (do you have an sig in your email as that what could be setting off google spam filter due to what's in it)

was most of the spam in the spam folder mostly spam

he just needs to mark all the ones that are good and then empty the spam folder or ignore it (google norm delete junk mail that is older then 30 days so 700 spam emails is a lot of emails)
