Is the routing still messed up?

[link to this post]

I'm just wondering why I keep getting this?

http://prntscr.com/33zrzc

I get it sometimes when the Iplayer denies me access.

IP address when I run it shows me as being in the UK..

Thanks

Looks like it, mine is the same here!

Must be to do with the .net change a while back and smooth need to get it allowed in!

Could be an issue with the IP address range or with who ever streams the data see's your IP has belonging to some company based in a country other than the uk , (an error in their IP data base )this would cause problems like what you are seeing ,

Can you put in your IP address here to see what it says? http://www.neustar.biz/services/ip-intelligence#.UzH...

You can get your current IP address here http://www.whatismyip.com/

Thanks. I've had the same IP address since the start. I've removed it but it says this.

as the beeb can't tell who watches online I might as well start doing that. (admitted themselves a few weeks ago)

It works fine through my VPN so It has to be a VM issue?

The site I posted does (or used to) the geolocation IP filtering for iPlayer.

It could be that the IP address you have was part of a range that has been reallocated to VM and was previously used by a foreign ISP.

It's probably worth raising it with VM - this was the BBC advice http://iplayerhelp.external.bbc.co.uk/help/outside_t...

Thanks for the advice I will do that.

It's fine on my VPN and on my phone connection so it is definitely VM
