VM for gaming

[link to this post]

Hi,

I'm thinking of signing up for Virgin Media as they have quite a good offer on at the moment. I'm currently on BT Infinity 1 (38 down 10 up) and it's been very good.

My main concern is gaming. I have a PS4 and play FIFA and Battlefield 4 online so I'm wondering if any other PS4 users out there who game on Virgin Media could share their experiences (good or bad, but preferably good!)

Thanks very much

All depends on your area. If there is any congestion it will be awful. Maybe ask some neighbours.

Most of the VM ping monitors ive seen have a lot of jitter , IMO this would affect the online gaming experience as it would cause a lot of fluctuation in the base latency , warp factor 10 (rubber banding )

I'm with virgin and in a very good area for it too, but I do have some gaming issues with them.

Stick with infinity as you get better upload and the network setup is a lot better, virgins upload is shared and isn't as fast as infinity services.
