I lost my internet service at pretty much exactly 0400 today (according to graphs from f8lure).

My service has gone from good 200/12 (installed last wed) to nothing
- Downstream on SH3 shows as one downstream, but "scanning"
- nothing upstream
- provisioning Offline

I was the first user on my cab last Wed. I am assuming there's probably been some scheduled maintanance (or just a reboot) on my local cabinet/node leading to this outage?

I have an appt booked through CS but they tell me network only gets investigated above a certain fault threshold? I'm unsure how 1/1 users on a node being down might sit..

Hmm. BT may have been a lot slower, but was reliable.

Appeared to come back of it's own accord - 7 hours after outage began, 3 after I reported. Some kit failure somewhere I assume as basically the box had no signal.

I did go for a walk and no sign of any virgin media engineers around, I guess just sw...

Yep I found my virginmedia went down more than my BT based services ever have. I had a few outages over the year, each time fixed themselves.
