Frequent connection drops on parts of network, Plusnet F

[link to this post]

3 week newbie to VoIP....

We're running 6 computers, 6 SNOM320 VoIP handsets over a Plusnet FTTC connection. We have a BT Business Hub 5, w/ the SIP ALG disabled.

Random parts of the network keep on losing service at random times.

That also happens to the 1 SNOM handset connected directly to the router, for testing purposes.

What could be wrong? The VoIP service is provided by www.voipfone.co.uk.

Next year will be better - than the year after that.

Did you try with SIP ALG enabled?

Have you got another router to try?

The Plusnet supplied fibre router had SIP ALG enabled, it could not be disabled. The symptoms were the same, only a bit stronger.

Next year will be better - than the year after that.
