Free business web hosting?

[link to this post]

A relative has just started up a business running a restaurant and I said that I would put together a website for them to get started. I was originally going to host on my web space with F2S but as you can see I am leaving them so can't.

It only needs to be straight HTML, are there any descent free offerings that can be used for business use?

Thanks

Thanks for that. I will look at both options.

I was just looking at this:

http://www.000webhost.com/free-domain-hosting

I can't help thinking whats the catch as it looks too good to be true. I can't see anything in their terms of use which says I can't put a business service on there.

Also if you transfer the domain into their, would it no longer be accesible via the members area of say www.123-reg which is where I have purchased domains through previously?

Thanks, although I have done a lot of web application development that has all been on intranets hosted on our own servers. Not on the big wide scary world of the internet.

Do they require you to transfer domain management to them? If so I'd give them a miss. If by transfer you mean use their name servers that's OK (I'd guess that you control via your 123 control panel which name servers are used for your domain).

I'd guess you'd just use their name servers. I'd avoid them anyhow, they mask their whois entry.

Not sure what you can do with it but has some good backing.

Hmm looks interesting even getting the domain name is free, but I am not sure if it will let create my own HTML and CSS files directly....

Thanks

Yep you can only use the templates provided. So no won't be using that.

Thanks
