Is there an ISP without restrictions?

[link to this post]
I am with BT at the moment and I have the unlimited package but i am being limited at peek times to something like 1MB because i have used over 100gb bandwidth in the previous month. Every month im using around 200gb which means i am always going to be limited to 1mb because of this.

Are there any providers that dont have a limitation like this, or at least have it over 100gb?

There are no unlimited non-LLU providers anymore - unless you want to pay around £75 a month. They all have a restriction somewhere. I've not seen any packages where you can get up to 200gb. AAISP offer some packages which might be useful to you. They do have restrictions during the day though(9-6), but pretty large allowances outside of this and weekends.

What exchange are you on and do you have LLU available? You can find out by entering your phone number in the exchange search at http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php

I'm with So Internet (formerly known as Wyre Forest Computer Solutions) on their Business Executive package @ £50 pm. Even though its described as unlimited, it nevertheless has a FUP of 1000GB pm which should be enough for 99.98% of people...i regularly download 300-500 gb per month and get full line speeds ALL the time. Yes they ain't cheap but they are a lot cheaper than the likes of AAISP, Zen etc for a similar package.

PS You can request to have filtering switched off, that just to stop access to kiddy fiddler websites

Have a look at this AAISP page.

It has a slight bug with IE at the moment, the Calculate button doesn't work, but it's fine in FF. (Doesn't need the Calculate button, it changes on the fly).

During the hours of 8am to 6pm we do not allow any peer to peer traffic on the network.

# Business ExecutiveUp to 8mb/s Download
# Up to 832kb/s Upload
# Unlimited monthly data transfer
# 20:1 contention ratio
# 8 IP Address Allocation
# Content Filtering
# 3 month contract

have you the link to the FUP
would like to think their service is somewhat more professional than their website

£57.50pm and 3-month contract. Plus the previous reply to you omitted :-

"Do you traffic shape?

To maintain a stable network we do apply traffic shaping. By applying rules to our network we are able to prioritise things like email and web surfing to make sure that all our customers get the most satisfactory service."

Yes they traffic shape but i believe that only applies to P2P. 90%+ of my downloads are via Rapidshare (from rapid.org mostly movies, PS3 games etc) and my download speeds are around 850 kbps ALL the time. The FUP is not mentioned on their website but when i called them up recently they said its 1000GB on their *unlimited* business service but no-one has yet been in breach of that (yet!). BTW this was the same isp who used to run the pulsegaming DSL service charging only £27.99 pm for 8128/448 kbps service with a limit of 300GB. They pulled the plug on this service earlier this year LOL (www.pulsegaming.com is now under different management)

It says LLA is available on my exchange: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/exchange/WNHAW

Not really sure what this means.
