Timetalk

[link to this post]

As I have been having many problems with TalkTalk of late I was interested to see that there was a new ISP called Timetalk. I have never heard of them but they popped up on Google due to a special offer for existing TalkTalk customers. They are offering any TalkTalk customer who has less than 6 months remaining on their contract a free move, paying for the leaving fees from the old provider and a free router and set-up. I would be tempted but have no idea who they are. I have had them call me, they stated that they are on a new ADSL network BT have laid and that through this they can provide 16mb connections in my area. The details do not match what SamKnows states is available. Has anyone heard of them, I really do not want another poor service and nobodies like this seem more likely to provide one.

Comments and thoughts most definitely appreciated!

SamKnows is not always up to date, the new BT network is the ADSL2+ service they are rolling out and have been for a couple of years.

https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html is this mentioned ADSL2+ then it is available on your exchange.

Hope their service is better than the website, which has lots of layout oddities

I suggest a read of this ISPreview thread. I haven't followed any links except the whois one at the end.

Time Technology used to be a big name in very cheap hardware. Variable reputation.

The address is on the website, contrary to one of the posts in that thread, on the Contact us page. It might have appeared since that March post though.

That's who they are.

Looks like someone has put an awful lot of money in over the last two years. Like loans totalling £1.5m. Parent company is Zeta Overseas Ltd., but half owned by Theta Overseas Limited.

Think you will find it is Supanet under a different name.

The company isn't Supanet, but in my research yesterday, possibly in that thread I linked to, Supanet were mentioned as being the ISP that Timetalk are reselling. I didn't check the correctness of that, but they have to be reselling, not a full ISP.

Anything related to Time makes me feel sick and scared

They mugged me off years ago and took over 6 months to deliver a pc. I got to a point that I didn't believe I would ever see the computer. When it arrived I was shocked. All be it relieved too.

It then blew up not long after.
