Uno/Xilo are back

[link to this post]

Uno website now live. Notice they only offer BT based connections unless you go for broadband/phone package which is TTB

Matt - Are you not offering SMPF TTB based connections?

Uno website link.

No broadband that I can see on Xilo, which seems to have reverted to a hosting business.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync 58162/14182kbps @ 600m. - BQM

I was pointing out that Xilo has reverted, as I forecast when they stopped taking broadband orders, to their original business of hosting rather than broadband provision. Having hived off the broadband selling to uno. (Though I'd be surprised if hosted companies can't have broadband within a hosting package).

I also supplied earlier in the same post the Uno site link, for those who don't know it. Googling uno gives many junk or other results.

I did already know that uno provides broadband .... wink

Is Uno the same company as Xilo then?

Different company, same ownership.

That's why the user uno has been the responder to Xilo queries for a few years now smile.

Well I'll soon see cause I signed up with Uno from Xilo this afternoon. Very helpful they were on the phone answering some of my questions.

£9.99 line rental is interesting. Not sure if it includes vat although the comparison at the bottom is comparing vat inclusive pricing.
Same for the call charges. Vat inclusive? The Fibre page specifically says excluding vat.

Seems decent even if vat needs to be added and also no call connection charge.

You also have access to line quality monitoring charts which could give extra benefit over TBB if also including traffic data as AAISP do.

Looks like I may be slightly better off on my current Xilo package but wonder if they plan to migrate current customers to the new service platform or whether there is a migration path for those who want to transfer. I don't recall the exact Xilo pricing for fibre but the Uno prices look like a big improvement for the high usage allowance products.

Website is a big improvement over the Xilo one IMO.
