Considring switching to Vodafone

[link to this post]

We are coming to the end of our special.pricing with Bt and looking to switch. Originally thinking of Sky but somebody told.me about Vodafone.fibre offering which looks attractive. Anybody switched to them? Any issue?

Now enjoying the speed of Fibre!

Thought about it, but after a few comments on here and elsewhere it seems the CS is the same as mobile and a few hiccups during transfer. Not that I have used on once on 2 years with BT and Sky though, but its nice to know it would be good if needed. Also really looking for 12 months or less contract and fancy trying one of the highly rated small isps this time around.
Might be worth checking your exchange has C&W LLU as it seems they are few and far between. Not sure if not whether they offer BTW based service instead, but I sure someone much more knowledgeable will comment on here soon.

One thing to bear in mind is I think Vodafone are like Sky in that they want you to use their own router - it may or may not be an issue for you though.

Eh? I wouldn't call 922 exchanges "few and far between"

I was with sky and they put their prices up so went to BT and got a £100 sainsburys voucher, now BT has put up their prices quite fancy vodaphones full fat fibre at only 12.50 per month which is really cheap

Ok, I'll rephrase. Vodafone (CW) have a third of the exchanges that Sky and TT do, so its less likely to be available at exchanges. Or less than one in five of uk exchanges.

I asked them on live chat this week if PAYG counted as being an existing customer. They told me it did. Though Sky still work out cheaper with a shorter contract.

Is this a real PAYG sim, or one that expires monthly even if not all used up, so the overall cost needs to be considered?

The have quote a price of £5 for ADSL as an existing mobile phone customer at a non LLU exchange.

I wonder what they do for back haul? I need a low price to quote at Plusnet when my contract expires.
