Help with new ISP

[link to this post]

Hi, I am with Sky and my bill is going to be £46.99 a month for line rental 40meg fibre and a phone package that allows upto 1 hour free calls to landlines and mobiles. Before my contract ran out it was £34 or so a month. Is there any ISP'S that can offer similar or better offer for cheaper price.

I went on the BT site and found there infinity1 with anytime UK calls (not sure if it includes mobiles tho) was £43 something a month so a bit cheaper.

Anyone know anything decent? Also the ISP must be good quality. One thing that worries me about leaving Sky is accept for there routers there network as long as exchange is fine doesn't seem to slow down. I don't want to end up on a worse ISP for £5 a month or something less in terms of network performance.

I used to know the best ISP's but not been monitoring them for a long time now.
Before anyone suggests Virgin media cable is not in my area FTTC is what my line gets full 40meg sync not sure how much higher it will go tho, even if was to join a upto 80meg fttc ISP connection.

Join Quidco and click through to the BT site through there. It'll be £5 per month cheaper (currently) for Infinity 1, plus £90 cashback.
You still get the £150 reward card too.

Thanks for your advice only just noticed tho. My contract with Sky runs out next month for fibre. Phone contract ran out this month. So i don't think i can change till sometime next month.
At least that gives me time to research ISPs and that BT package is looking very tempting.
Anyone know if BT anytime charges to mobiles because Sky doesn't?

Try calling BT those prices seem quite high:

0800 800150

As a new customer I was paying:
£18.99 Line rental + £11 for infinity 1 + £5 for Entertainment Plus TV (with BT Sport) = £34.99

Retention Deal I just got:
£38.99 all in for Line rental + Infinity 1 + Entertainment Max (TV upgraded with BT sport still).

Alternatively check out Topcashback / Quidco.

I have also been with TalkTalk and the connection was just fine, but CS is poor. Never had any slowdowns what-so-ever.

I've left BT twice over price rises, waited a month and got all that again - nice way to do it smile

Try IDNet. High quality ISP and good phone packages, too.
Not the cheapest, but you pay for what you get.

Your link is a tad incorrect. Presumably you mean IDNet
