EE or Plusnet

[link to this post]

Would EE have the same backhaul arrangements for an ADSL service from a Market 1 exchange as Plusnet? At the moment EE are much cheaper.

i.e. would the service from either suppier be much the same? They are both owned by BT

EE customer service good these days. We have their services at our other property. Unlimited phone and BB and 1,000 mins to mobiles for £23 per month.

Also thinking of going to EE if BT dont offer me a deal thats as good.

Wondered if EE do traffic shaping/prioritisation on their fibre broadband?

Benefts of them seem to be:

Apparently no price rises during contract
18 month line rental saver
Free activation

Thoughts from those on EE much appreciated!

Didn't have any issues with speeds or general use but had issues with peering with certain gameservers which made me eventually switch wasnt any sort of shaping that i noticed if im honest.

Not sure how things are now as this was before the BT takeover but obviously they were still using BTW at the time.

Interesting, I was think of same until I just saw the latest post.. EE have a kerappy quality metric on both the 76 and 38Mbps options, wonder why...Still it's enough to make me not consider them!

I agree and as they have just reduced their price to £20 pm for ADSL+Phone they are now cheaper than EE at £21! My existing Plusnet contract where I just pay for the phone and the BB is free at a Market A exchange, expires in September 2017. I doubt Plusnet will make me a retention offer good enough to stop me switching to JL or EE ADSL or even Vodafone FTTC with its wretched router.

Is the vodafone router really that bad, so tempted to move to them but worried about the router now!
