Do bear in mind that once you leave BT, that's your email address gone as well [assuming you are NOT using your own Domain]. Whether you can pay BT to retain the email facility is unknown.
Or Hotmail or Gmail. Also see Ian72's reply.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. 200GB. Sync 70745/12295Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

As above, option 61 still needs to be supported.

The 'sky router only' restriction was actually removed from the T/C's around a month ago, so folks are discussing on the official forum now.
A bit. smile
That is good news although were I am I can't get a Sky service anyway. On my Zyxel router, if I select Encapsulation = IPoE I then get "DHCP Option 61 IAID" where I can enter an 8 digit hex field and "DHCP Option 61 DUID" where I can enter an unspecified digit hex field. Are either of those likely to work?

Is this the list of Sky compatible routers others have mentioned, and is this the most relevant thread on the Sky forum?

Plusnet have recently told me that they will no longer charge for email addresses from an old ADSL connection I stopped a few years ago. I also have free btinternet.com addresses from the dial up days, which I was allowed to keep after going through a tedious leaving procedure.

Hi Michael.

Here are the links:

Router list:
https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2018/06/2018-u...

Sky forum thread it came from:
https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/Using-own-mod...

The skyuser site you linked to is where all the deeper technicalities have been discussed for many years.
There are too many threads to mention.
