Has anyone any idea if this puts itself right eventually? Just got the bt speedtester to work(it's never worked before):
Exchange is NEWYL which is Market 1

Download speedachieved during the test was - 1054 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 800-2000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :8128 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 832 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps
If you wish to discuss these results please contact your ISP.

The best download speed I've had over the last 3 days is 1.3MB. last week I had 3.6MB one morning - niw.

My Broadband Speed Test

My Broadband Ping

The outage at 8am was me turning the router off then back on again before I went out, all the computers were off all day and I didn't get back until after 5pm.

There's another graphhere

In this thread. (Not sure about the netiquette of starting another thread about pretty much the same subject so apologies in advance)

You must live in the exchange with zero line length smile

You have a 2000 IP profile which is usually seen on a new line provision. That should increase to 7150 over the next few days smile

Thanks,
I wasn't sure if it was something that had gone wrong and needed fixing. I'll check it again next week.

Well, you should be getting 24Mbps down and 2.5Mbps up unless FTTP is available smile

Yes only ADSL Max and I think no chance of it ever changing as it's a rural area frown
TalkTalk's exchange checker seems to think differently though:

WOODCROFT ROAD
WYLAM
NORTHUMBERLAND
NE41 8DJ
Gigabit Backhaul:

State: Unplanned

I think it's just some kind of error on their part. Maybe they think that all of the 01661 prefixes get the same service - as the next town(exchange NEPH) has LLU.

Your checker gives me these:

The telephone number xxxxx currently has a broadband service present.

This means you can migrate to us with a MAC code.
The following services are available

ADSL2+ LLU - offers unlimited usage on the LLU platform (C&W) Not available at your exchange

Max Allowance - offering usage caps of 1GB to 180GB

Premium ADSL Max - offering a 50GB CAP

Max 100GB FUP - offering a 100GB FUP

ADSL2+ LLU 100GB FUP - offers a 100GB FUP on LLU Not available at your exchange

Regards
Allan
