New ISP?

[link to this post]

I'm looking at changing our work (small business) ISP to something based on ADSL2+ instead of just regular ADSL and just looking for suggestions from people in the know?

My Broadband Speed Test
Current speed isn't spectacular but can't complain compared to my home connection!

BT seems to have forgot about us but LLU providers are starting to show. Did check with Eclipse but apparently no dates are set for 21CN yet.

Samknows shows: (NSPET is the exchange)
Orange
Sky - home broadband only?
TalkTalk/CPW - Phone line is currently in a long contract I'm waiting to get out of, so full LLU has to be ruled out for the time being.
C&W (soon) - ?

Downstream Upstream
Margin [dB] : 10.5 26.0
Attenuation [dB] : 16.0 9.0
OutputPower [dBm] : 19.5 11.5

Available Bandwidth Cells/s Kbit/s
Downstream : 17509 7424
Upstream : 1056 448

Data usage is probably quite low, so don't need unlimited although is nice to have (unlikely to ever use over 10-20GB a month).

Any suggestions, predictions, recommendations? Thanks in advance smile

TalkTalk Busisness do broadband only:

There are also several resellers who use their LLU network.

You don't say how important your Broadband connection is to your business.

I would be looking for an ISP which concentrates on business connections as their core business.

Line One:- Zen - DrayTek Vigor 2600VG
Line Two:- EntaNet - DrayTek Vigor 2600

Agreed and they're unlikely to be the cheapest.....

Not business crucial, more of a small office, scenario fairly small - internet mainly for accessing e-mail, contacting suppliers/customers etc. E-mail is all hosted externally, no in house servers that demand 100% uptime.

Would have asked for a recommendation in the 'home' forum as that's all that is really required but just put it here as the likes of Sky LLU is (unfortunately) out.

As GeeTee says I know Vivaciti offer partial LLU using the CPW exchange equipment.
See the thread in the reseller forum for info.
Not sure about others, e.g Xilo but it may be worth calling them to ask.
These products don't seem to be well advertised.

You should see some good ADSL2+ speeds with that line, we have an ADSL2+ service for home users (although small business is fine) for £19.80 per mont inc vat

I don't think Xilo do SMPF on CPW yet.

They are still testing it I believe.
