High Speed Upload?

[link to this post]

Need a solution for a location that will offer 10Mbit upload.
FTTC is not a option.
EFM?
The location is approx 4.5Km from the exchange by the most logical road route.
Using the AAISP calc I can get 10Mbit for around £10k a year.

Don't really care much for download speed but upload is very important.

Anyone know of anything better?

Paul

EFM could be an option although you may be a little far from the POP to get the 10MB, so may be a leased line, you would need to request a full quote to get an accurate price.

Which exchange are you connected to? With your distance from the exchange it will be difficult to reach 10 Mb/s upload with any kind of bonded DSL. The best option to guarantee the full 10 would be fibre. If fibre isn't an option then I would recommend ensuring that the service you choose has a low contention so that you can make the most of whatever speeds are available?

That far from the exchange I would guess it would take quite a few ADSL lines bonded to reach 10Mbit upstream, at which point it might not be much cheaper (and would be more hassle) than getting a dedicated leased line in (I've been looking into options for our office which is in a similar situation).

Current ISP: Andrews & Arnold (AAISP, aa.net.uk) via FTTC at ~36Mbit down & ~10Mbit up, joined July 2011.
Previous setup: Be Pro with UploadPlus (ADSL2+, AnnexM), 12ish Mbit down, 1.6 up, happy customer for ~2.5 years.
