Where's good for free web space?

[link to this post]

I need to be able to load 500+Mb into some free (obviously!) web storage and then send others the URL to the files. My ISP only offers 100Mb so I'm wondering what, if any, offerings folk would recommend that offer more storage?

Rapidshare, megaupload, fileserve, filesonic, wupload etc.. Sites like that would be okay, but they may limit either size or download speed on free accounts. You'd want to use encrypted files too.

(Replying to myself for all to - hopefully - spot)

Thanks for the suggestions. All the files are photos of an event on Friday and some of the attendees asked me to let them have copies of the photos.

Dropbox is currently uploading so I'll see how it goes.

If you still need some space for a short time then let me know

I can give you ftp access to my hosting so you can put the files there if you need to smile

Thanks for the kind offer, I'll bear it in mind but - fingers crossed - all seems to be ok at the moment.
