Animated Gif Thumbnails in Windows Explorer

Is there a way maybe a plugin that will allow the thumbnails of animated gifs to move when viewing them in folders in windows explorer?

Im using Windows 7 Pro X64.

AMD FX-4100 X4, MSI 990FXA-GD80, 16GB DDR 3 Cosair Vengence 1600Mhz, 9351.1GB Hard Disk Space, 2GB ATI 6670 HD PCI-E 16x Graphics, 850watt PSU.

Ex AOL Dialup 56k Customer....

Not sure if this is what you are after;

It used to work on XP. When and why was that functionality dropped?
The display of animated .gif files was dropped with the release of Windows 7.

The freeware IrfanView can be used for viewing animated .gif files:

('s always a good idea to create a System
Restore point before installing software or updates)

Download IrfanView

(filename : iview435_setup.exe)
(uncheck the box if you do not want Google Toolbar)

Get the plug-ins too...

IrfanView Plug-ins

(filename : irfanview_plugins_433_setup.exe)

To view .gif thumbs open IrfanView and go to...File / Thumbnails...and
navigate to the folder the .gif files are archived in. Double left click a
.gif to see it animate in the main view window. You can cycle through
all the .gif files in the current folder by clicking the blue arrows on the
